Summary
Theft, forgeries, post-it note conversations, and a rivalry that's spanned decades. Jean Valjean has avoided arrest for nearly ten years since he was first released from prison after being arrested the first time, and he is the number one annoyance to one Detective Inspector Javert. And then Valjean breaks into his apartment to give him a painting. And then he continues breaking into his apartment to leave post-it notes on his refrigerator and gifts on his coffee table that Javert throws away at the first opportunity. And then Javert doesn't know what to think.
Javert hates his life and he hates art, but most of all he hates Valjean.

Javert plunges into the woods near Montfermeil in pursuit of Jean Valjean, but when he is led astray into the dark heart of the forest, he meets with strange forces and comes out changed. Transformed into a wolf-dog, he stalks the outskirts of Paris, waiting to catch the scent of the man he’s hunted.
Can be read as a T-rated fic without the epilogue (only the epilogue is E-rated).
