Summary
The door swings open just as Shadowheart slams her fist forward to knock again; the apartment’s occupant, a githyanki woman in workout gear, catches Shadowheart’s wrist to avoid being decked in the face. “Whatever you aim to sell me,” the githyanki says testily, “I hold no interest, and I dearly hope whatever two-bit company you shill for files for bankruptcy.”
“Are you being murdered?” Shadowheart says, yanking her wrist free. “Or possibly doing the murdering?”
The githyanki cocks her head. Each of her long ears sports a line of piercings; the little hoops clink together. “Hm. A unique sales strategy. I will listen to your pitch if you speak quickly.”

“How does it make you feel,” Halsin says quietly, just for Astarion to hear, “Knowing he wanted you enough to act so uncivilized?”
“It makes me feel like I want you to ruin me before he can have me,” he breathes, fangs dragging along Halsin’s neck, leaving raised welts in their path.
Halsin sucks in a breath before crashing their lips together greedily. Halsin would kiss him for hours if Astarion let him, and sometimes Astarion does, indulging himself in feeling so utterly appreciated. Halsin’s tongue presses into his gasping mouth, immediately finding a fang to prick himself on. Blood mixes with spit and Astarion keens, nails digging into skin to anchor himself.
He has no idea if Gale is still out there or if he’s fled, but just the thought makes his heart race. Halsin’s hip stutter; and out of nowhere Astarion is being lifted and manhandled. With as much ease as Halsin hefted the stag, he lowers Astarion to the ground before laying back himself, urging him to straddle him.

Summary
Gale is holding it together just fine- until he isn't.
All the playful banter between him and Astarion seems to have left them more friends than either expected. And surprisingly Astarion really wants to help Gale with this whole breakdown. He just has limited ideas on how.Or, the very self indulgent fic that got away from me where Gale feels like he has no control over his life and Astarion helps but in like a smutty way.

Halsin stares, startled by the outburst, and Astarion frowns, first at him and then at the tree over his shoulder. When he doesn’t elaborate, Halsin carefully breaches the silence instead.
“Do you want me to hurt you?”
AKA astarion doesn't know how to ask for what he wants, but halsin can make an educated guess
