(This work takes place immediately after “Deliver Me From Insanity”. )
Apartment 33 managed to scrape enough cash together for pizza, but a single meal can only go so far. With no other funds to spend, what will tomorrow look like for Sam and his found family? He lies awake thinking of the possibilities, too bad he’s not left alone to ponder.
His desperate attempts to flee the ensuing chaos only land him in the arms of the monster he thought he shared nothing in common with.

“Mr.Sam,” Joel asks him out of the blue during breakfast, “Why is everything you make so gross?”
Upon the abrupt insult, Sam nearly spits out the runny eggs he barely managed to put together, punching his chest as he choked on his terrible breakfast. “What?” he manages to cough out.
“Well… hhhh… It’s just my mom used to make super awesome pancakes!” Joel says with a smile… though, it’s hard to tell if it’s an actual smile or just his face. “I know we don’t have a lot of food… But these eggs taste really… hhhh… bad.”

A series of events in which Sam learns to cook, and gains a family on the way. Because when you're in the midst of the apocalypse, getting your kids McDonald's isn't exactly a feasible option.
