那是他二十岁的时候。陈先生只让他帮忙处理财务上的事情，算是给他提供了一份可靠的工作，至少在父亲刚去世时，这份工作帮了他大忙。某日他跟随陈先生去主宅取账本，刚一下车就听到房子内若隐若现的小提琴声。陈先生见他注意力被分散，了然笑道：“我儿子。和你一样，他也学习小提琴。”
他透过琴房敞开的门缝看见那个孩子的背影，那日是大晴天，他看不清陈韦丞的模样，只能从磕磕绊绊的乐句里辨识出《云雀高飞》的痕迹。生涩的弓速和音量强弱之间，他依然感受到了翱翔于天际的轻盈。每到情感最为充沛之际就轻轻收束，飞至最高时就放松下来……他呆呆地站在琴房门口，一时间忘记了账本的事情，而陈先生也未催促他。陈先生告诉他自己的儿子一直梦想日后能成为优秀的独奏家，杨博尧已经记不清他是怎么回答了，而后……而后午夜的大雨浸湿了他的外套，雨水模糊了他的镜片，陈先生紧紧抓着他的手，他能感觉到握着自己的手正在迅速失温。
命运将他们的生命纠缠到了一起，而那将要成为云雀的少年，究竟会引他去往何处？
