Professor Sharp’s voice had slowly started to fade into the background. Truth be told, you had barely taken in half of what he had just said. Instead your brain had fallen into a descending spiral of pure panic just after Ominis had uttered those damn words.

You couldn’t even bring yourself to look over in Sebastian’s direction, to see if he had put the pieces together as you had. There was nothing you could but go through with the notions of the class. Read the recipe book. Prepare the ingredients required. Enter them into the cauldron as needed. Carefully watch over the liquid bubbling within. Rather annoyingly, you know you’ve done it right when a fresh wave of ‘Eau De Sebastian’ washes over you, looking perhaps a tad psychopathic as you glare down at the pretty pink liquid before you.

It's irrational to blame anyone- the storm was loud, the mission was hard, the footing on a rain-slick cargo ship was slim to fucking none. Nobody could've heard you scream as you went over, nobody could've seen the blur of you and the other person go freefalling off the edge.
