Summary
A few months have passed since the ending of the clone wars. Maul, with the mandalorians remaining with him, begins his route to Janix seeking revenge. He must come up with a plan, and the first step involves getting credits into his pockets and learning about the city.
What begins as a mutually beneficial alliance with a hotel owner shifts to something deeper when he finds himself trying to keep the place operational outside of their initial agreement. Maybe it’s the night brothers he meets there, or just the rage he feels when all they’ve built is put as risk. Perhaps it’s the owner herself, someone who could understand continuously pushing the boulder uphill no matter how often it falls.
