“What we want is for you to be honest with us.” Halsin crosses his arms and looks at Astarion disappointedly. The vampire realizes he’s fighting a losing battle. Part of him wants to run away and leave you both to it, but that would be embarrassing and, in his mind, cause you never to see him in the same light, ruining his reignited plan to get close to you. You, of course, are thinking none of this. You loosely wrap your arms around his waist and lean forward to nuzzle the nape of his neck, contented enough to breathe him in and feel the tickle of his soft hair against your cheek, even if that’s all you did tonight. But that is something he would not be able to comprehend.
