She could feel the chill settling through her tightly laced bodice. Her skirts were covered in mud, grass stains, and whatever else lied on the forest floor. Her hair, which had been plated into a neat style, was falling in ruins down her back. She could feel and hear the way the leaves crunched in her hair. It was all so much. But she kept on."
