Entry one…
he can’t look at it yet, someday maybe, but today’s not that day.
He drags the cursor over every entry until it stills on a particular one, entry sixteen—he jerks the cursor away with a sharp inhale before ultimately landing on entry twenty-five. His index finger lightly tapping on the mouse, wondering if he’s ready to relive it all; if he still wants to tempt that thing back into his life.
He clicks on the file.
He feels a strange sort of relief that he hasn't felt in a long time.
He knows he won't regret this.
(Or, A.K.A, two friends try a hand at urban exploration, and film it for their new YouTube channel, surely nothing will go wrong.)

“Here we go again for the millionth fucking time”

Pain has become irrelevant to him, the nerves in his body are a hindrance to him at this point. Time has lost its original meaning and taken shape as his reminder, his tormentor. He’s long since accepted his decisions barely matter anymore, they have too, but unlike them he refuses to give in to the static, to the Tall One. Becomes the definition of insanity; the resentment is all he feels now.
He often wonders if this is what he’ll stay as, a force that doesn't know how to stop when it’s all he knows anymore. He doesn't know if he wants to stop.
He thinks he deserves to not stop after everything.
It's a nail-in-the-coffin thought, it causes whatever humanity is left to wail and grieve, to finally slowly fizzle…

It's whumptober! I thought it would be nice to have this little ficlet/one-shot and practice my writing. It might mostly be the Australians as the focus because unfortunately I can't get them all down, hopefully that’ll change over time though.
