Every soul has a purpose to fulfill. No matter if the purpose is of good or evil, it is still a purpose. But it is possible that a soul can be wasted. This happens when a soul rejects its purpose, or misinterprets its purpose.
But sometimes, a waste is unavoidable, i.e. the bearer of the soul was not what wasted the soul, but rather, the world in which they inhabit.These souls are put somewhere else in order to not be wasted potential.

Ideals were necessary, Vladimir understood that much, but he didn't understand why they were.
Having rules in your thought process that can change how you see certain things, was just foolish and simple minded.
Of course, he was a hypocrite for his ideal was for a world without ideals, and he did acknowledge this, but, ideals were necessary, after all.

She could see his smile. "Angelica!" She spent all the energy she had left in her body to speak.
"S-see? I-i-i knew you could do it. I knew that you could smile."
She slumped over on the wall and quickly died.

Yes. Now that he looks back at it, if he never cared about them, none of it would have ever happened.

Summary
A young girl forgotten by the world. An old man who's soul was torn apart. A boy born at the bottom, lashing out at whatever he could. A man who gave up when he lost everything. These souls were brought together by circumstances, and torn apart and eventually killed by their poor choices. Weather they deserved to die is up to debate, but one thing remains clear
They will be brought back together once again, in a society deserving of changing.
