“Am I a toy to you?” Flins asked out loud, the tip of a thumb pressing against his bottom lip as he spoke.
“Say, little fae,” Rerir spoke, ignoring Flins’ question. “Do you even have a heart for me to hold in my hand?” he asked, emphasising on his question by pressing his hand harder against Flins’ chest.
“Why don’t you find out?”

Summary
You see, death smells. It's inevitable. Decay takes its toll on everything and everyone.
She thinks of Enid's vanilla strawberry mix shampoo. The one that is so ridiculously Enid that Wednesday has learned to distinguish it from anyone else. She thinks of it, and thinks of the small of decay. She thinks about the two scents mixing to create a horrifying new smell. She thinks how the latter would overpower the former.
She realizes the inevitability of it.
Enid will die.
~
Enid Sinclair is not a hater. She does not hate. She doesn’t get particularly angry. She is nice. She’s kind. And gentle. And good spirited.
Yet all Enid feels as Wednesday’s body plummets to the ground, and she hears the sickening crunch of her bones shattering, is unadulterated, unfiltered, obscene hate.
