Summary
After Katsuki rouses from his first rut, he's surprised to find his childhood friend and future mate Izuku missing.
Whilst he spends the next few years stewing in regret and making headway to become Chief, he finds himself seemingly haunted by the scent of mint and vanilla. A scent he'd only ever associated with Izuku.
His mother finally sends him on a quest, a quest to bring the omega's body home. It's out there, in the forests surrounding their home, that he comes face to face with a ghost of the past. Except, it's not a ghost. It's his very much alive childhood friend.
