    She'd imagined how this would go at least ten different ways on the drive over here, but she definitely hadn't imagined that Elle would be wearing this. She was wearing a bunny costume, her slender legs covered in pink nylons, and her generous bust on the verge of spilling out of the cups. Her blonde hair was mussed and her makeup was smudged with dried tears, not dissimilar to Liz's. But Elle Woods wasn't Liz Miller. Liz could count the number of times she'd seen her with less than perfect makeup on one hand. She tried to focus on that and on Elle's face, instead of trailing lower.

    "Liz?" Elle's pink mouth open fell open, and Liz realized even staring at her face wasn't safe. Every part of her was distracting. "What are you doing here?"

    Liz and Elle haven't talked for years, when Elle calls Liz out of the blue after Vivian's disastrous party. Liz can't help but run to the rescue.
