Summary
Hanahaki disease (more accurately known as "Flower Petal disease") was a pretty uncommon illness in their world, but the people it affected were the unlucky few whose hearts longed for the people they couldn't have or the ones who had moved on without them.
Sam had felt a part of her die, the moment she watched Robby walk away all those years ago in the dojo's garden, and that feeling was coming back ten-fold now that he was seemingly out of reach.A chance opportunity presents itself when she sees a photo displaying a raw, open, and painfully vulnerable sight that wasn't truly meant for her eyes.
Feelings she'd long since buried reared their head in the most unexpected way and suddenly the phrase "my heart leaped in my throat when I laid eyes on you" had become all too real.
Can the love Tory and Robby found in one another's arms be her salvation?
