Summary
As a board member of the Isles Foundation and the committee chair for this year’s annual fundraising event, Maura is determined to plan something other than the typical (stuffy, in Jane’s words) gala. After a lot of brainstorming, she settles on hosting a game show, The Newlywed Game. However, this backfires when the board decides an Isles family member must participate. Maura finally agrees to participate with her ex-boyfriend and longtime supporter of the foundation, Ian Faulkner, but at the last minute, he has to leave town to attend to a medical emergency overseas, leaving Maura without a partner.
When Jane hears that Maura is left partnerless hours before she is supposed to participate in The Newlywed Game for the Isles Foundation fundraiser, despite her better judgement, she offers to be Maura’s partner. To no one’s surprise but their own, Maura and Jane blow the competition out of the water. The question now is what does this mean for their future? Rizzles endgame. Mostly fluff.
