Summary
A lone Braavosi crosses the Narrow Sea to Westeros for a new life though the pain of his past is only hidden behind a helmet. He lands in the early days of the Andal Invasion where religious militancy is at every corner and the struggle between new faith and old magic is just starting to turn to war.
Along the way, the Braavosi encounters many people, Westerosi and Andal, and is forced to constantly question his allegiance and come to terms with his morality.It is only when he meets a small, strange child that things become clear and the true war is realised.
