They were nothing, of course, especially not something Oikawa couldn’t handle, but throughout his life there was that nagging stab in his right knee.

Summary
There has always been something truly special about you, and not in a “super cool and fun way”. No, you could sense things in the natural world around you. You could sense evil and sometimes see creatures no one else could stalking through the town and hiding in the shadows. Sometimes you saw good things too. Friendly or helpful spirits that always seemed pleasantly surprised when you interacted with them. As you got older of course, your desire to not risk your sense of comfort and normalcy drove you to try to convince yourself it was all in your head. That is until a series of unfortunate events take place: Your stepfather becomes possessed, demonic entities begin to stalk your every move, and the only time you feel safe anymore is within the walls of the old estate your mother bought with her savings. Within these strange old walls lives a poltergeist with flame colored hair, so full of warmth that it’s hard to remember he’s not alive...
Especially when he becomes the only friend you have.
