Summary
"If anything ever happens to us, you have to leave the city, alright? You have to leave the city as soon as possible," Kai had always told him.
Lloyd finally understood why.
If anything ever happened to them, the villains would move onto the next threat in line, the lower threat that still formed a threat in their eyes nevertheless. The threat they would only care about if the main threat was gone, because it was such an insignificant and easy-to-exterminate one, compared to the all-powerful ninja.
The people with close ties to them who hadn't participated in the fight for a reason.
Him.
Or: a civilian Lloyd AU where Harumi is still the Quiet One (also more psychotic and obsessive) but she's gonna prove that she cares, just watch her!!! :D (!!!)

“What are you going to do with Lloyd, after you take over the city!” Misako yelled at the girl, beginning to grow tired of Harumi simply ignoring her questions whenever she seemed fit.
“I’m going to keep him. Obviously,” Harumi spoke, as if it was a given that she would hang onto someone who annoyed her with their feelings. She looked up at the girl, unsure of why she would even do that, and Harumi seemed to read the question from her face, because she continued. “He’s real sweet and thoughtful and quite awfully pretty. Neither of which he got from you, apparently, but I’m guessing he never got much of anything from you in the first place.” The teen just had to keep taunting her about her not-so-outstanding parenting.
As if she could ever do better.

“So, now what, then?” he challenged her.
“Well, I could kill you,” she said, casually, as if talking about the weather. “Or I could just leave you out here to–”
“Please don’t leave me here alone,” Lloyd said quickly, the words surprising even himself. He sounded terrified– which he was, but he hadn’t meant to show her that. Harumi wouldn’t kill him; she’d had the chance many a time before, and had never taken it. But he didn’t want her to leave. He didn’t want to be alone right now. He was hurt and in pain and at least he was familiar with Harumi; who knows what someone else might do if they found him like this?
Harumi looked at him for a long moment before slowly continuing. “Or, maybe I’ll bring you back to Borg Tower. I’m sure your father would love nothing more than to share a few words.”

Summary
“Do you still like me?” Harumi asked. Her voice was full of regret, but there was also curiosity. “After everything I did to you.”
“Harumi…” He sighed, because there was no way he could. Them being together had become such an impossible thought a long time ago, and he’d learned to accept it ever since then. He could never get himself to hate her, but at the same time, he didn’t love her. Or, at least not like he had before. Not anymore.
“It’s… it’s complicated…” he murmured. They could never go back to how it was before, Lloyd knew that. That didn’t mean he didn’t wish for it every day, though.
“I just wanna know,” she muttered hoarsely. Her eyes burned into him, pleading for an answer, before she looked away again. “Do you still like me? Am I a– a good person… to you?”
Or: Lloyd and Harumi talk about their relationship after Crystalized. As we all know, it’s quite complicated :]
