When Donnelly met Reese for the first time it was an explosive experience. Hearts were racing, teeth were gnashing, heads were whipped backwards and forwards and that was just on the inside of the vehicle. Reese chose to introduce himself to the FBI by backing into their SUV at high speed, shattering glass and bending metal in the process.

The following observations concern the two related scenes near the end; the scene in the diner with John and Megan, and the scene at the vacation home with John and Andrew.
