When his son, Boba, is suffering from reactive omegian attachment disorder, Manda'lor Jango Fett is forced to find an omega willing to temporarily mate with him for the health of his son. After going through three agencies, he finally finds one omega, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who is willing to sign a contract with him.
Only, he wasn't planning on falling in love with the man along the way and now he's at a loss of how to make a man who is with him for money, stay for the rest of his life.
Now, if only he'd just ask Obi-Wan about it.

Obi-Wan had always wanted something different than he could find on Stewjon and although she’d supported him, she’d never quite known what it was that he needed.
Now though, with his quiet and adoring alpha at his back she could see how finding a mate on Stewjon never would have worked for her son. He needed someone who was gentle and gave him space to do what he wanted to despite being plastered against his back.

Summary
"Boba snuffled closer against him in his sleep, his small hand grasping at Obi-Wan’s tabards until they pulled aside. Without his undertunic, still sitting loosely on Boba’s own frame, this revealed enough of his chest that one nipple was exposed to the chill of the air. He shuddered and reached over, intending to pull the fabric back, but froze, staring down at his own chest as the nipple became pink and stiff in the cold.
He’d been too young himself on Melida/Daan, to have presented yet, but some of the older children, had already gone through puberty and emerged omega. The planet had been at war long enough that resources weren't wasted on things like suppressants and it hadn’t taken much time being surrounded by hungry babes for their bodies to respond. They had started producing stress induced prolactin, and then their milk had come in and they’d been able to feed at least a few hungry mouths.
He could do this. All he needed was something sharp."
When Obi-Wan is imprisoned with a Mandalorian child, he'll do whatever it takes to keep the boy alive long enough for his buir to come for him.

“I don’t want to lose you, Master.” Obi-Wan said, voice barely above a whisper.
“Oh, Obi-Wan. My foolish boy.” Qui-Gon untangled their hands to cup Obi-Wan’s face. “You will never lose me. If you move to Mandalore then I’ll be purchasing a summer home in the desert here, like I’m a rich Senator.” Obi-Wan hiccuped a laugh. “You’re my child, and I love you more than I ever thought possible. If you leave the Order, then I will call, I will write, I will visit. And so will your friends. The galaxy isn’t so big that you can't see them. And maybe one day, when Anakin is grown, and I’m too old and grey to go on missions, I’ll join you here.”

He had lost Komari fifteen years ago, when she had arrived in his quarters with an eight year old initiate with wide, guileless eyes. It had been a gradual loss. That his new Master sought to make it permanent… Yan had made his choice.
But perhaps…

"I won't," Bail said. "I won't forget you."
"Others have said the same," Obi-Wan replied. "It's okay. I don't mind. Some things aren't meant to be."
In response, Bail pulled Obi-Wan into a crushing hug. He closed his eyes, forcing himself to memorize the feeling of a friend in his arms, a man who had died before his time. A friend in another life, in any life.
Hesitantly, Obi-Wan wrapped his arms around Bail's back and squeezed. "Thank you for spending today with me, Bail. I'm sorry it had to end this way. Goodbye."
With great regret, Bail left the Jedi Temple, and just as Obi-Wan had said, the moment he crossed the threshold he could already feel the boy's--the man's--face slipping from his memory.
"Obi-Wan," he murmured under his breath. "Obi-Wan Kenobi."
He repeated the name over and over to himself on his way to the visitor's speeder bay, and by the time he got there, he didn't even know why he was doing it, except that it was important to him somehow.
He didn't know who or what Obi-Wan Kenobi was, but he wouldn't forget it.

"--and you thought cooking me breakfast was the best way to reintroduce yourself?" Obi-Wan says, his voice steadily increasing in volume.
"In my defense, I said hello to you last night when you returned, you just didn't seem to register it," Ben says, his hands tucked primly in his transparent blue sleeves. His voice, not filtered through Obi-Wan's voicebox or thoughts, is lighter than Obi-Wan is used to. A little creaky and quiet, but measured and sure. "I figured since you were returning from such a clearly arduous mission, you could do with a home-cooked meal. I didn't realize my flatcakes were so mortifying."
"The problem isn't the flatcakes, Ben, those were very good--"
