    Ilya Rosanov cares too much. He forms a soul bond with Shane Hollander: a bond he knows must be one-sided, since Hollander would never love him back. So, he does what he knows is best, and tries to stay away from the man. No matter how much it hurts.

    Staying away is easier said than done, though. Especiallly when Hollander is on the news for his terrible hockey playing. Especially when Boston have a game against Montreal, and Ilya sees Shane struggling himself.

    Ilya is selfish. Even so, he can't stay away from Hollander, not when he's hurting. He'll fix things, no matter how painful it is to get close to Shane, knowing that Shane could never love him back.

All Rozanov did was call him his own name. Rozanov calls him by his name all the time. But it’s always his last. Never just Shane. Even though he’s been called that his whole life, the word feels unbearably intimate, coated in Rozanov’s annoyingly attractive russian accent. And that thought terrifies him.
