  Summary

  In the year 281 A.C., the Seven Kingdoms bore witness to one of the most magnificent and enigmatic events in their history: the Great Tourney at Harrenhal. Hosted by the aging Lord Whent, the tournament gathered the finest nobility of Westeros amidst the dark, crumbling ruins of the greatest castle ever built. For seven days, legendary knights, ambitious lords, and hopeful youths competed in jousts and feats of skill, each seeking glory, fortune, or a chance to change their fate.

  Beneath the surface of festivities and honors, however, secrets were whispered through the halls and alliances were forged in the shadows. Crown Prince Rhaegar Targaryen shocked the realm by naming Lyanna Stark the Queen of Love and Beauty—a gesture that would echo as the spark that ignited the greatest rebellion in recent memory.

  While some celebrated, others plotted, and many saw the tourney not merely as a spectacle, but as a harbinger of the war to come...
