Tomioka walked through the chittering confused Hashiras and stood before Shinobu, his scent spiking so terribly that even the Uzui, a beta, was nauseated. There were territorial grumbles behind the pair, making the scent even worse.
"Shinobu, please, the pup.. their gone. I can't find him." Tomioka pleads to Shinobu begging for aid. And Shinobu feels herself get cold, ice seeps into her bones, her own scent spiking dangerously. Tomioka cries in front of her, only the third time she has seen him shed tears.
A low voice grumbled from the small crowd of very confused and shocked Hashiras, "What the hell is going on?"

Dynamics really could be tough. Kanao couldn't imagine a better mate than Aoi, but the omega simply wouldn't regard her as an alpha. That's what she got for growing up with her in the same pack and being the younger one. Yet she would never show her interest through dominance towards her.
When Aoi enters her heat despite suppressant, Kanao has to care for her until Shinobu returns and finds her own suppressant slowly failing. She's ready to suffer in silence, warding off attracted alphas outside the mansion as always. Yet she would still be invisible as possible mate to the other girl.
