Summary
His hair falls across his face as he makes a slow, half-hearted attempt to sit up. He can smell it now—a rich, heady scent that intoxicates his every sense. It smells of amber, of caramel, of butter melting on his skin. It smells of gooseberries, peonies, and sweet Lambrusco.
It smells like Louis.
It is this realization that frees him from his own complacency, and Lestat feels it then—the sound of his own heart stopping to mimic that of another, the one beating confidently and freely at his side. His body is wrapped in a thick woolen blanket; beneath it slips the silk of a pajama that does not belong to him. He lies on pillows, feeling his feet dangle off the edge of a—couch?
“Good morning, sleeping beauty,” that voice, frankly far too amused, reaches him from the opposite couch, across a hideous slate coffee table.

Summary
*SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3 EPISODE 3*
He doesn't know what compels him to find Lestat, after everything is done.
Perhaps it's the emptiness, the deep void he can almost see spreading within himself. Perhaps it's just the loneliness, or the need to be with someone who knew her, and loved her. Someone who can understand.
Or maybe it's just the fact that he really, really, misses him.
*****
Louis decides to meet with Lestat after killing Bruce. What he finds there is not exactly what he had expected.

Summary
“So you still wanna fuck him,” Daniel said. “Why are you telling me? Just go for it.”
“I don’t want to fuck him,” Louis said.
“Right, I forgot. You don’t wanna fuck him, you wanna date him – you wanna make sweet tender love to him, and renew your vampiric vows. Maybe this time around, you can be the one putting your fist through some poor priest’s head.”
Lestat discovers the wonders of the internet. Louis discovers that, eighty years later, he's still just as normal about Lestat as he has ever been.
