Someone she can coexist with, someone who will show her the world she longs for. A guide, a friend—someone who will open the door to all the wonders and experiences she's been denied, who will help her navigate a new life above the waves.
Someone who will steal her away from the sea.

Clorinde nods.

Navia looks like she was struggling to keep herself from laughing. She covers her mouth with the palm of her hand and her ears flush. Clorinde wrings her hands anxiously.
“O-Okay,” Navia snorts. “Okay. Why do you want this job, specifically?”
