Summary
“Those couldn’t’ve been cheap,” Eddie says. “Do we need to talk about your spending habits?”
Buck lets out a soft huff of laughter. “What are you, the flower police?”
“No, no,” Eddie says, shaking his head, his hair brushing against the side of Buck’s face. “If you wanna spend your hard earned money on fancy ass flowers, I’m not gonna stop you.” He nuzzles into Buck’s neck, his stubble scratching against his skin.
“It’s nice,” he says, his voice muffled. “No one’s ever bought me flowers before.”
Buck copes with unrequited love by maladaptive daydreaming, buying Eddie flowers, and lying to the farmers market vendor about his imaginary husband.

Summary
“You didn’t tell me your agent’s name was Dick,” Eddie says, halfway to a laugh.
Buck tries to force a smile onto his face, but it won’t come. “Yeah, he didn’t mention that before. Apparently, that was info he only wanted to share with you.”
“Oh, weird,” Eddie says, like it’s not worth thinking about. “Still funny, though.”
“Hilarious,” Buck says as he pulls into the street and Eddie types in the next address.
OR
The problem isn't that Buck's real estate agent is into Eddie or that Eddie seems to like it; it's a matter of professionalism.

Summary
“Maybe you should try casual. Date a friend who would still be your friend after you break up,” Buck says, and in the same breath, without thinking, “Date me.”
He snaps his mouth shut, his entire body flushing with heat. Eddie looks at him for a very, very long second. “You.”
Through the sudden panic, Buck’s mouth goes on autopilot, “No sex, just a few dates, we’ll have an amicable break up. I already know and love Christopher. And anyway, I’m a guy. So, no need to worry about you catching feelings either.”
-
Spoiler alert: it’s not casual. They don’t break up. And they have sex.

Summary
”I heard a rumor.”
Rumors—circulations of doubtful truths and gussied-up gossip, either true or so false it makes you eye the rumor with disdain and annoyance. Evan’s always heard rumors while he bounces around the country that Sal and Cody the ranch hands fuck in the back of the barn, that Eduardo’s wife from concrete laying is leaving him, that Maple is actually on the run as a wanted criminal and is laying low in Peru, and that the boss of the Diaz Mafia is an Enigma.
That means there is someone in this world who can bitch him. That means he has hope for a better life—not as an Alpha, but as an Omega.

Summary
The bed smells of Buck’s memory and Eddie’s tears now.
He almost let's a sob but then hears the sound of a car driving past his house, coming in his driveway. Eddie’s heart skips a beat in anticipation. He holds his breath, eyes bright open, and waits. The keys barely make a sound as they enter the door, and there’s a little muffling around coming from the living room that makes Eddie’s heart beat faster. Shoes are taken off, something - a bag, a coat?- is dropped to the floor and then it’s the sounds of the most familiar footsteps that Eddie can hear coming all the way from the living room to his bedroom door.
There’s no hesitation at the door as it opens and closes swiftly. Eddie doesn’t move in his bed and waits, trying to even out his breath. He can feel the eyes set on the back of his head and Eddie itches to turn around and face him. They both know that Eddie is awake.
“Buck,” He croaks from the bed.
