“It’s just odd,” Suguru said. “We do so many things, before we know what we’re doing. Before we even know if we want it.”
Satoru’s grip was tightening, and his face was frozen. And then, ever expressive, he frowned, and his eyes squinted up, and his mouth twisted with his words. “You don’t want to be bonded?”
Suguru did want to be bonded. To Satoru specifically. Life was very cruel that way. “I do,” he said. “I was just thinking about how we didn’t even really get a choice.”

“H-hey.” He frowns; he’s sure he remembers seeing Eddie on the calendar to work today’s shift. He longs for the days he would know without question because any time one of them took a day off they were in constant communication anyway. He doesn't remember the last time Eddie texted him. “Where’s Eddie?”
Hen and Chimney share a look. It makes Buck stiffen. Something’s wrong. He can tell something is wrong.
“Buck, Eddie didn’t tell you?”
“Tell me what?” They share another look. Hen frowns. Buck can feel the panic rising up in his belly. If he’d managed to eat his breakfast, he knows it would be coming up. “What’s wrong? Is Eddie okay? Is it Chris?”

"You don't...you don't invite me out anymore," Buck finally explains with a shrug. Nonchalant. And Eddie wants to tackle him to the ground. "If you invited me, I would try to come."
And Eddie is seething.
"Try to come?"
+Buck starts to pull away from Eddie after the Ouija incident, and Eddie thinks he's being replaced by Ravi. This leads to a very honest conversation about their feelings. 9x05 coda.
