Summary
Many would say that Gaara has come a very long way socially. From public speaking and diplomatic negotiations to forging personal bonds amongst family and friends. Even his ability to interact casually with the citizens of his village. Becoming more approachable and recognizing social cues more accurately and especially his emotional intelligence, suffice to say, one would think he doesn’t struggle much at all anymore.
Gaara, however, is intimately aware that he has a very long way to go. For example; this cursed Konoha tradition that he's partaking in for the very first time at age twenty, is truly testing him.

Summary
Jean Bart could see why the young captain was beloved by his men. He’d been on the man’s ship for less than a day and already felt a sense of loyalty toward him—and not just out of gratitude for freeing him. Yes, he was more thankful than he could ever put into words to Trafalgar Law for severing his collar, but it was the kindness and humanity he and his men had shown him since then that truly touched Jean Bart. He was quite aware of how rare such traits were among pirates.

I love it!! Law and Jean Bart's interactions are so good and poor Jean being unused to having basic human rights 😭 and I love how Penguin and Shachi got him new clothes but had to guess the size!! Just a great story that really shows the Heart pirate from an outsider but soon to be crew member!

He is a former pirate himself, on the run (even though nobody is looking for him), and he can never amount to anything more.

Hi. Yea this fic made me tear up. Good Sanji and Brook bonding! It hurts so good and I love how Sanji mentions forgetting his mother who is one person vs Brook's entire crew. I never thought about that and now everything hurts even more
