Summary
What if Ambrus and Coen knew each other before the fated Blood Mass that started it all? What if a fragile, dangerously tender relationship was already brewing between them? How would that change the story of Coen of Laslea and Ambrus, the Right Fist of the Knyaz?
If you're also asking yourself these questions, this fic is for you! It follows the entire game's storyline with these changes in mind, while otherwise adhering pretty strictly to canon. Beware, though: it will be a long (I'm a rambly writer) slow burn, with a big chunk taking place pre-story, followed by a retelling of the game with necessary changes. I hope you enjoy!
(English is not my native language, and I don't have beta readers for fanfics, so please forgive any errors!)

Summary
After losing more resources and his men in Laslea, with a new unknown Vrakhir rising in Brencis’ crew, Sara had the splendid idea to just drink their sorrows away. Forget their pain and failures for just a day. Marat agreed, only so his remaining men could unwind, before starting anew.
What he did not expect on that same day was to fall over heels for a monster he was expecting to kill.
