Summary
After the wave of pain passes, he opens his eyes once again to only be immediately assaulted by vibrant yellows and oranges so bright that he feels his eyes begin to burn. He hisses in pain as his spine pops- how long was that one? Were they getting longer? Heh… getting as long as my— another shock of pain. Even his thoughts can turn against him. He takes a gasp of the putrid, stagnant air that’s always tinged with the sickly sweet pang of rot.
He rolls onto his back, breathing heavily. The prickling begins again, like that feeling when you know you’re about to get hurt but the slap has yet to hit your cheek. He wonders what’s next, what almost familiar torture will come. His thoughts are quickly answered when his senses are flooded with a life not his own.
He floats behind a scrawny, awkward teen, clad in suspenders and a bowtie. Oh god, Pete. This is, by far, the worst one.
