Summary
He'd only wanted to be able to live on his own terms; the fulfillment he sought was something he should find on his own, too.
He didn't need anybody else.
He didn't want to rely on anybody else to feel at ease.
Then, what? What was he supposed to have been done?
Maybe he should have indulged Ogata with all the fucking explanations he'd wanted to hear. Maybe he should have told him where he was so he could go meet him and put his jealous feelings to rest.
"Ogata," Sugimoto suddenly said, "maybe I shouldn't have asked you to marry me."Or:
Five days is too short of a period of time, but they have already found out how deep that river can be.

Summary
"I don’t want to put pressure on you or anything," Asirpa began (...) "If you don't make plans for Christmas anytime soon, the best restaurants will all have their reservations closed for the date, won't they?"
Both adults glanced away and sipped their drinks without a word. It was hard for them to admit that, out of the three, the child was the one who was right most of the time.
"It's not like I care about making plans for Christmas," Ogata said.
"You don't, but your boyfriend might," Sugimoto snapped at him. "Not everything in this world revolves around your damn ego, you fucking idiot."Or:
With Christmas just around the corner, Ogata Hyakunosuke definitely doesn't have any plans for the 25th, keep track of a score to settle with his neighbor (and the universe at large), or is in denial of the whole situation. It's just that the whole season hassle is starting to get to him.Series

Summary
He didn't know how, but Sugimoto had permeated so deeply into his head, Ogata couldn't stop thinking about him. Ogata had been in control of the situation during the months they met at the bar to -after several drinks- end up having sex in some hotel afterward. As they barely saw each other at work, it hadn't been that much of a hassle to hide their relationship. A relationship that, for all intents and purposes, they didn't even have: they were just two men who got together on occasion for some casual sex. But after several months of the same routine, Sugimoto had stopped going to the bar.
One day, Sugimoto simply walked away on him.
Or:
With enough free time on his hands, Chief Analyst Ogata Hyakunosuke would rather invest it on colleague Sugimoto Saichi. That's it, until Sugimoto decides to put conditions for their relationship for reasons Ogata believes he can, after all, fathom.Series

Summary
A collection of Golden Kamuy Modern AU fics originally written in Spanish by RavenTears and edited and translated into English by me. The stories will not follow the same plotline beyond the modern AU setting, but all will feature Ogata Hyakunosuke as a central character, Sugimoto Saichi as a fixture (to either the latter or the plot in general), miscellaneous references to Ogata being cat-like, and devoted younger siblings at the receiving end of debatable mean jokes.
