Vicki learned young that being different meant being unwanted.
Her father locked her away when she grew wings at thirteen. At seventeen, her voice turned deadly, and he threw her out for good. After that, she survived with nothing but an abandoned cabin, a Bible in her pack, and the belief that if she stayed small enough, she might make it.
Eight years later, Charles Xavier finds her. The X-Men don’t ask her to shrink. They ask her to stay. To belong. Through stubborn friendship, quiet faith, and learning to fight for people like her, Vicki begins to imagine a future she never believed she deserved.
And then there’s Logan. He sees the way she flinches, the way she apologizes for breathing, the way she tries to make herself invisible—and challenges all of it. Pushes. Calls her out. Stays anyway.
He should terrify her.
