The dizzying sensation of standing up too suddenly hit his head even while laying down. Bruises flaring back alive and charred hair and clothes hung off of him. The sun was blinding everywhere except the small shadows he stepped through trying to get back home. Eventually he spots the familiar path through the forest he had roamed years now.
The door wasn't locked. As always. The hinges still creak and he prays to whatever Gods there are that his mum did not hear him. The clattering of pots being shuffled around hints the other way.
"Izuku? Love is it you?" his mom peeks from the kitchen door and before he even gets a chance to open his mouth she's pulling him into her arms, tears leaking from her eyes. "Where were you? You were missing for two days? What happened? I swear if it's Katsuki again I'll go personally-"
"Stop mum. I'm alright. Got lost into the forest, wandered too far. I think?"
