Feng Xiao’s expression was wide-eyed and haggard, his hair in disarray and his face smeared with dirt and dried blood. His clothes too, bore evidence of his wounds. It was obvious why his first instinct had been violence upon waking to nothing but darkness and the feeling of another person lying too close for comfort.
Cui Buqu could only imagine how much worse his own appearance must be, if this was what their ordeal had reduced a peerless beauty to.
And the worst part was that under all the grime he was still beautiful.
