He never expected to truly understand her musings about the beauty of the world. In his mind, he could only ever be considered an outsider: the one that didn't belong, but still remain in this existence despite it all. How could he ever wish to be anything more? He didn't experience feelings like them, he didn't live like them, he wasn't human like them. The beauty of a world he would never be a part of was one that he would never understand, and that was a fact he had learned to accept.
How foolish of him to ever believe she would let that be the end of it all.
