It wasn’t particularly a bad job to be honest. And it’s not like he was really qualified to do anything else either. The moment he was out of university he decided he needed a job and he’s been stuck at Tornado & Blizzard’s ever since then. The pay was… it was what you’d expect from a fairly unknown and unvisited coffee shop in the middle of the city. The manager was a prick but somehow she considered him a friend almost and despite his terrible coffee making and social skills she never laid him off.
So there he was. Working 8 hours 4 days a week for a paycheck he spent on discount items at the grocery store a block from his apartment. And in spite of the terrible mundanity it wasn’t a bad life.
