Summary
Note: Begins on chapter 8!
Feeltober is an art challenge created by pixlfuss (https://bsky.app/profile/pixlfuss.bsky.social).
Artists are to make a piece depicting the given emotion for that day of October.
Mine will be a series of prose vignettes involving three OC pairings.
These characters originally featured in a scrapped short story collection titled Portrait-Sonnets of Artemis.
*What was written for that story is published here, to serve as context. The first of these is about Adeline, a hobbyist writer in her late teens, and her punk bff Flora. Adeline does what she can to cope with the onset of a mental illness that distorts her perception of reality. Otherwise a mostly down-to-earth, small town setting.
The second is about Andromeda, who is an almost emotionless undead husk brought to life by her necromancer lover Cécile. Their story takes place in the Halloween-themed, futuristic afterlife city state named Asphodel.
The third is centered on Mirah Virgo Thought-Love Deucalion, an actress who is playing the part of a valkyrie in a play about Hell. She is accompanied by her co-star Pyrrha, a bubbly French-accented clown who desperately wants to know how Mirah died.
