“What are you doing?” He slowly grins, suddenly realising that the mood has shifted.
He doesn’t move, instead gazing into your longing eyes trying to figure out if he should take you or let you give yourself over to him, his breath hitching in anticipation when you place your hand on his thigh.
You tilt closer, sending chills down his spine as your cheek grazes his own when you bring your lips to his ear and sweetly whisper:
“Whatever you want me to.”

Summary
Visions or not, humans are prone to be discontent with their lot in life - always seeking that which they do not have. Merchants chase after coins; scholars seek knowledge; and lovers desire one another above all else - it is the pursuit of these goals that makes life worth living in spite of the setbacks we might face.
To create a world without that possibility… would that truly be to humanity’s benefit?
You wonder to yourself what it is that you desire, what you would be afraid to lose on the path to eternity.
