Summary
It has been three years since they were outted and Henry and Alex have finally settled into a groove that works well for them, except for the fact that it feels like they're always having to steal time together. Queen Mary constantly coming up with excuses to get Henry out of public events with Alex isn't helping, and Alex is done with it. After a long conference in Tokyo that Henry couldn't attend, Alex's flight home being delayed is the last straw and he calls Henry to say they need to figure out a better way to do this, to which Henry agrees. But fate has other ideas. Alex's flight goes missing somewhere over the Pacific, no trace of it to be found, leaving Henry and Alex's family struggling to not lose hope while unable to do anything.

It almost steals Henry’s breath away. It’s still a joke but the way his eyes twinkle like he could only dream of rings and wedding bells, with Henry, sends a tidal wave of relief washing over him.
Alex wants this, wants him, in the forever kind of way.
He trails a hand down to grope Alex’s ass, causing him to amend, “Okay, maybe I am easy, so stop tempting me.” He kisses Henry firmly, then says, “I still want the rest, though.”

“Come on, angel,” he takes a step forward, staring up at Henry with a smirk. He knows that if they had any need for oxygen, Henry’s chest would be heaving. “You know you want to.”
“Wanting it isn’t the question,” Henry says tightly, only the slightest sliver of blue still visible in his eyes. “We can’t.”
Alex knows he has him, knows that it’s only moments until he finally gets what he wants. What he’s always fucking wanted. He just needs to push.
“Oh but we can,” Alex’s tongue darts out to wet his lips and he watches in glee as Henry’s eyes drop to capture the motion. “You want me. Come get me.”
