Summary
Life was not going well for Sung Jinwoo. Barely 20 and his father was gone, his mother hospitalized and only he left to take care of Jinah.
It wasn't easy to earn enough money to not only make sure they had enough to live on but to also pay his mother's medical bills as well as rent. Then, after a particularly hellish nightmare, his shadow started speaking- or, at least, the non-human entities living there rent free.(Or: Jinwoo 'awakens' as a S-Ranker at 20 instead of an E-Ranker; Ashborn ends up caring more than he intended to, learns some lessons about family, and proceeds to sulk about it.)

He tilts his head at her and she looks at him with expectant eyes.

Izuku sighs before speaking up.

This is my attempt at humor and Christmas present for SL fandom readers in AO3.
Jinwoo gets it that he saved Min Byunggu and Cha Haein, but the S-rankers don't have to make it obvious that they know him in front of his backstabbing classmates.
An AU of S-Rank is Overrated, Sung Jinwoo is OverPowered where everyone's survived. Not necessarily need to read that one. This fic is dumb but I just need to write something as thanks for all the support.
