Iris was shaking fiercely in Sherlock' s arms. Still in her nightgown, she was bundled up in her father's trench coat, the cold breeze cutting through the exposed skin of her cheeks and fingers. She drew in closer to Sherlock's chest in an attempt to keep herself warm, to no avail.
Running through the late London streets, Sherlock raced for St. Bart's. He could feel the warmth - too warm - of his daughter's skin through his shirt, and his lungs burned for air. His arms were getting tired, and his legs were no better. But if Iris's shuddering breaths were any indication, he could not allow himself to stop running.
Not when Iris's life could be in danger.
