Hello, everyone! Bet you can’t guess my ULT group. 😂 I’m easily over 21, cis-female, she/her, demi-/sapio-/homoflexible. I grew up a military brat with my favorite base being Misawa, Japan, where I lived six years. I’ve unfortunately only had the opportunity to visit South Korea once many years ago. My ULT is, quite obviously, SHINee and I am OT5 biased. I truly can’t pick amongst them!!! I’m also an OT8 Stay and OT7 SuperM Supporter (sheesh, how I hate that fandom name!).
I’ve been Shawol about five years now. I had a late start, but I actively avoided KPOP due to toxic Twitter stans being super freaking annoying. Anyhow… a friend of mine posted a short clip of “Internet War”, which I didn’t realize was KPOP. Don’t get me wrong, I love and adore Jonghyun SO MUCH and he was undeniably beautiful in that performance (and all others), but Taemin had me scrambling to find out WHO this captivating, glorious angel-demon was. Fortunately, I had time to spare, so I immediately went to Google and YouTube to find out everything I could. It started with JjongTae, then TaeKai, Taemin’s solo works, SuperM (because of TaeKai), then I found SHINee and it was practically a religious experience. I stanned Taemin, SHINee, and SuperM within a couple hours…I can’t tell you how many hours I spent doing research and watching videos, but I couldn’t and CAN’T get enough. I’m definitely in this for LIFE.
I have a background in music myself as a vocalist, music director, and (years ago) thespian. Therefore, when I kept seeing YouTube reactors posting videos of a group with a highly unexpected, deep-voiced vocalist, I could no longer resist temptation. To say I was impressed by Felix would be an understatement. Seungmin, Hannie, and Channie definitely caught my ears, as well! I’m *obsessed* with 3RACHA. I’m undeniably OT8…once again, it’s impossible to choose!!! I’ve been a Stay for 4-ish years now? At my age, time passes differently. 😂
