Give yourself permission to write bad stuff, cringe stuff, things you think nobody else will read, just because it seems like fun to write. You can make it better later, or let it stay as it is, just for the joy of fandom and creativity. Tag your work and let the readers filter themselves. The fandom is only stronger for more works being made, so write the things you wanted to read and maybe someone you never met will have wanted to read it to. Write the cringe stuff.
Also, friends, mind the tags. Remember that in fanfiction you have a safe word that ends a bad ride immediately with no questions and no judgement, your safe word is the 'close' button or the back button. Authors don't owe their readers any guarantee that problematic or dangerous behavior is going to be framed or explained in any particular way-you should consider all works 'Dead Dove: Do Not Eat'. Respect. The. Tags. Remember that fanfiction is a safe medium through which to explore extreme or taboo kink/fantasies one would not wish to explore in real life. Don't LARP as a cop in fandom, and don't be a dick. Curate your experience and use the filters.
