The Madrigal family is screwed up. They've done so much damage to the people they love. And as much as they want to fix it, they have no real idea how to go about doing that. And they try, but healing is far from linear. Everyone is on a journey of getting better and growing.
Sometimes they relapse. Sometimes they straight up fail. Miscommunications still happen, but for the most part, they want to do better. That should be all that matters, right? Sometimes it's enough... Sometimes it's not. Some wounds are too deep and no amount of bandages can make it better. But they'll keep trying. They'll keep loving one another.

Izuku Midoriya never really cared for living.
It all began to spiral downwards when he was diagnosed quirkless at age four; he lost his father, his friends, his dignity, and quite frankly? Everything else.
Over time, he found life to be pointless. He was just a waste of space; there was no point in being there because he couldn’t do anything right. So, he ended it. But after he’s dead, he finds out he’s always had what he had wanted his entire life. Time to put it to good use.
At least he’s technically not a waste of space anymore.
