   Summary

   To ascend is to find oneself untethered to this world and its attachments.
   Why then do the Iterators, beings designed to seek means of ascendance for all creatures, find themselves tethered in both body and mind?

   Long after the Ancients are gone, the Iterators are left with only each other and their lonely, desolate cans. With one small change, their Cycles will spiral off into a new future where they may yet be freed from the burdens their creators left them with. Some will abandon their purpose, abandon the ideas that formed them, and seek a new purpose in the world left to them. While others will seek out companionship, family, and the freedom that has long be denied to them.
