“I’m sorry for calling you here this late at night, but it’s an emergency,” Julius said, his head poking just above the mahogany surface. There were heavy bruises beneath his eyes, his gaze sharp. The silence dragged on for longer than expected, his lips twisting in several ways before he spoke.
“It’s Yami.”
“Yami?” Her heart skipped a beat, but she schooled her expression to something neutral. Something indifferent. “...What about him?”
The same, grim look passed over his face. “He’s missing.”
