Summary
Buck didn’t expect a warm welcome when he returned to the 118 after the lawsuit, but he also didn't think his teammates’ anger would last forever. When months go by and Buck is still all but invisible to the team, he decides that everyone would be less miserable if he worked anywhere else.
But leaving the 118 behind is no easy feat, and Buck isn’t sure if he can fully let go of the people he loves…especially his partner and his favorite kid. Summary
Before he can think better of the action, Buck swipes to accept the call. He lifts his phone to his ear and, in a hoarse voice, says, "I'm not interested in buying my car an extended warranty. Actually, I'm not interested in buying anything unless it's a hefty life insurance policy I can enact within the next thirty seconds, so unless you've got that up your sleeve, go to hell, and stop taking advantage of poor idiots for their money."
For a long few seconds, the only response Buck receives is static. It crackles and hisses, but then there's a voice, weary, yet soft around the edges.
"Oh, wow," it says. "That is not what I was expecting at all."
Or: After having his leg crushed by a firetruck and his captain telling him he's unfit to work, Buck doesn't really see the point in anything anymore. That is, until his phone rings with an unknown number flashing across the screen, and a stranger by the name of Eddie Diaz makes him rethink everything.

"No," Evan said, his gaze intense. "It's more than that. There's something about you. Something... special."
For a moment, Harry felt a flicker of fear, the weight of his secret pressing down on him. But then he looked into Evan's eyes and saw only honesty and kindness. He took a deep breath and leaned in, closing the distance between them.
Their kiss was tentative at first, a question and an answer in the same breath. But as their lips moved against each other, the connection grew stronger, more sure. It was a kiss that spoke of promise, of a future filled with possibilities.

As Buck begins the fight of his life, the members of the 118 are forced to confront the painful truth that while they were busy shutting him out, he had been silently falling part. now they'll have to decide whether its too late to become a family again - or whether love, forgiveness and hope can survive even the darkest of fires.

Tim Bradford is a very private person, something Angela Lopez and Wade Gray can attest to well. They have known him for years and as such, are privy to most of his life and secrets. Because he doesn't tend to share, some people gain the misconception that he doesn't have a life.
Nyla is new, but a TO none the less, Angela and Wade convinced Tim to let them bring Nyla to their weekly dinners to bring her into the fold so to speak.
So when a certain nosy Rookie decides to 'help him socialize' and brings the rookies to his home, they run into Angela, Wade and Nyla as well another little surprise no one was expecting.
