Summary
The day the commission assigned the infiltration of the LOV, Hawks saw it for what it was: a death sentence. Keigo wants to get out. He needs to get out, before he slips up, or worse, before he is no longer useful, because if they’ve given him a suicide mission... If he's useless... then they'll make him “disappear”, like the others.
Hawks saw this assignment for what it was: An opportunity. He’s been going around in circles trying to find a way to escape, and everything leads to the same thing: recalibration training at best, and a slow death at the hands of the commission at worst. They are not expecting him to survive, he just needs to play that to his favor. He has never given the Commission a reason to doubt his loyalties, he can’t afford to unless he knows he’ll come out on the other side. So until then, he'll keep pretending everything is fine, that the food he eats doesn't taste like saw dust, that everything isn't dull around him and that he isn't so achingly lonely that he would do just about anything to feel like he belonged.Series
