“More possessive than sending a mechanical crow to stalk me, you mean?” I tease.
He lets out a monosyllabic chuckle and his voice drops to that familiar smooth bass. “I mean, I’ll have to touch you more.”
I feel my breath catch in my throat as he leans in closer.
“As my fake boyfriend,” I say.
