“I’m sorry,” she starts quietly. “I know I have been… hard to deal with. Since I met your father and left that prison cell, my purpose has been to get you on the Ruby Throne. I have to keep you safe, Martin. Nothing else is more important than that.”
Martin raises an eyebrow and sweeps an arm around the room. “You’ve been doing that perfectly well.”
“You died,” Lyrana points out.After the Oblivion Crisis, the Hero of Kvatch finds herself lost and half-mad with grief. But when the machinations of a long-dead cult bring Martin back, Lyrana has to hunt down cultists, interrogate widows, and figure out why her grief is starting to feel a lot like something else.
